About the Car:

1989 Pontiac Firebird base model 2.8L 5 speed 68,997 original miles
I purchased my firebird April 2025 from the orginal owner’s son on Facebook Marketplace for $600. I was told that it had sat from 2007 due to the VATS failing. When I got the car there was obvious weather damage on the paint and in the interior. The body is straight with only surface rust that we can tell. I had some help unfreezing the hood and got it started in May. I took it to the first car show in July. Currently this is a work in progress as I am working on a brake issue, replacing all of the hoses, and getting it ready for a real paint job. I will also be adding aftermarket exhaust as we had to do some cutting to drop the fuel tank.

1967 Firebird Convertible Purchased in 1995. Originally blue with a 326 HO. Was a triple white car with a 350 and TH 400 when I bought it. Did a 5 year restoration on it and finished in 2018. Now has a built 400 CI with 402 HP. Installed Tremec TKO 600 5-Speed transmission with hydraulic clutch. Paint by Fenders and Fins in Woodinville and interior and top by Rich’s Custom Upholstery.

I bought the Firebird in 2007 with only around 700 miles on it, a dream come true since I'd been a huge fan of Firebirds since the Burt Reynolds movies. Most of the mods I've done to the car are cosmetic with some chrome lettering on the rear and chrome grills. My Dad and I also installed a circuit for sequenced rear indicator lights together one time when he visited here from England. The only performance upgrade installed is an SLP airbox lid since it's easy to do. I sprayed it silver to match the car, and finished it with a Firebird decal. I've been going to Shoreline Cars and Coffee for years with my Firebird and met Alex Kwanton there who is an author for Hagerty and Forbes magazine amongst others. He interviewed me and took pictures of my car for an article in Forbes. The pictures shown here are taken by him and included with his permission.
